Procurement
- State of New Jersey Executive Order 11 creates within the Department of Treasury the position of Director of Energy Savings, and requires all state departments to purchase Energy Star® products.
- Green Purchasing: A Guide for Local Governments and Communities provides general guidelines for developing and implementing an environmentally preferable purchasing (EPP) program.
Operation and Maintenance
- Green Computing Flyer (Adobe Acrobat PDF), developed by the NJ Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability, offers strategies for both computer departments and individuals to follow to reduce power consumption and paper.
End of Life Management
- State Surplus Computer Donation Program distributes State surplus (used) computer equipment to interested local government entities, boards of education, nonpublic schools and nonprofit charitable corporations.
