Every year Partners are given the opportunity to report their achievements. The data provided by Partners is then used to calculate the environmental benefits of their actions through the Challenge. The tables below reflect the cumulative results of Partner achievements since the inception of the Challenge in 2008 through 2010.
Table 1 shows the environmental benefits as a result of purchasing “green” computers—desktop computers, notebook computers, and LCD monitors that meet the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT®) criteria—and reusing and recycling computers and monitors.
Table 2 reports the number of EPEAT products purchased, and computers and monitors reused and recycled. This data is entered into the Electronics Environmental Benefits Calculator to derive the results shown in Table 1.
The cumulative 2008-2010 results include: 13 Partners reporting in 2008; 12 Partners reporting in 2009, and 26 Partners reporting in 2010.
Graph 1 charts the growth in environmental benefits achieved over the past three reporting years.
